Entry Level Paralegal Job Description

'An entry-level paralegal is at the beginning of his or her paralegal career, and is still learning the ropes. Paralegals and entry-level paralegals are not licensed attorneys and thus do not practice law, but they work on legal matters under the supervision of licensed attorneys. An entry-level paralegal is also known as an entry-level legal assistant. Lawyers rely on paralegals and entry-level paralegals to assist them as much as possible. Depending on the type of law office in which he or she works, an entry-level paralegal might draft a closing memorandum for a big real estate transaction or prepare a trial binder for an important court case.

Entry Level Paralegal

The candidate must be recent College Graduate from a Top University who would welcome the opportunity to work for a leading Law firm in an entry level position. Client will consider a candidate who might be going to a Law School in 2/3 years. Should have strong research skills and technical from college or internship during school preferred. Candidates will need transcripts with a 3.4 GPA.

Entry Level Paralegal

The candidate will be responsible for: Prepare and file online trademark applications, maintenance documents and renewals. Communicate with brand managers and/or licensees for specimens of use and other information necessary to file the applications, maintenance and renewals. Docket using internal database. Assist with trademark clearance searches (internet and USPTO). Liaise directly with U.S. Customs and officers from various International Customs branches and monitor seizures by brand. Must have a BA degree. No previous legal experience required. Must be polished, have excellent communication skills, strong work ethic and have a desire to learn.

Entry Level Paralegal

The candidate should be a college graduate with excellent computer skills (MS office suite) and great attention to detail needed. Excellent written skills required.   

Entry Level Paralegal

The candidate must have strong academic credentials from a top college/university and be able to make a 1-2 commitment prior to attending law or graduate school. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and solid database knowledge required. Medical/Bio/Science degrees are preferred.

Seeking an Entry Level Paralegal to work for litigation practice group. Candidate will be a recent college graduate from a top school with a good overall GPA. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. Must be able to commit to two years.   

Entry-level Paralegal - Project Finance

The candidate must be able to commit to two years. Prefer recent college graduates with a minimum overall GPA of 3.2 and from top schools.  

Entry-level Paralegal - Private Equity

The candidate will provide support to the global private investment funds team and handle a variety of client and team driven tasks. Will assist attorneys in all stages of the fund formation and closing process. Prepare documentation for formation of corporate entities and coordinate filings with corporate service providers. Assist attorneys and private equity clients with compliance and investment activities. Communicate directly with private investment clients and their investors. Assist in the coordination of practice group training events. Research topics such as market trends, legislative developments, legal precedents, and other matters relating to private investment funds. Maintain the institutional memory of several leading global private investment clients. Develop and periodically update content for internal electronic resources, including practice group wikis and databases. Coordinate between attorneys in a variety of legal practice groups and global offices. Should preferably have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.3, excellent work ethic, great communication and written skills, have a proficient understanding of MS Office, and flexible to work outside regular business hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.'
